The YAI Resource Center is a new online community supporting those working in the field of ID/DD, offering easy access to educational and training curricula, activities, lesson plans, games, presentations and policies. With well over 100 resources currently available, and more being added all the time, you and your colleagues get immediate access to excellent materials addressing a full range of ages, abilities, and types of programs in the field of ID/DD. Joining the YAI Resource Center also gives you access to an important professional community where you can communicate with and learn from others outside your agency and from around the world. YAI/NIPD YAI National Institute for People with Disabilities Established in 1957, YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities (NIPD) is a not-for-profit health and human services agency for people with developmental and learning disabilities. Our mission is to build brighter futures for the people we serve and their families through state-of-the-art programs that help to build skills, expand opportunities, and enhance community living. YAI/NIPD provides Residential Services, Employment services, Day Services, Rehabilitation and Mental Health Services, Health Care and Home Health Care, Recreation and Camping, and Family Support Services to people with developmental and learning disabilities throughout New York City, Westchester, Long Island, Rockland and Orange Counties, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. YAI is also a highly acclaimed professional organization, nationally renowned for our publications, conferences, training seminars, video training tapes and innovative television programs.
