Educational Consulting
Educational consulting is provided individually or in small group sessions. These consultations address immediate concerns that cannot be appropriately handled in a classroom environment and may require specialized training. Consultations are offered at the SEEDS Educational Services office in Old Town near the Trolley/Bus station or at the individual's work or home.

As the stranger exposed himself to her in the elevator, Tawnya Ormsbee yelled "NO!" and rushed off on the next floor to call the police. Ormsbee's new found assertiveness is proof that SEEDS' behavioral counseling service is an effective means of teaching people with developmental disabilities sexual abuse prevention techniques.
Stacy Everson, Director of SEEDS, had this to say about Ormsbee's encounter:
Before Tawnya started attending our individual consulting sessions, she would let him do what he wanted without saying a thing. After working individually regarding assertiveness training, she told me that for the first time, she did not feel bad for the way she reacted. This is mainly because she has learned how to be assertive and how to recognize inappropriate behavior.
