Fire Safety and Prevention

Picture

Most people are hurt or killed in a fire because they don't know what to do. People with developmental disabilities may not be able to take life‐saving actions in a timely manner. They may wait for verbal instructions or simply wait to be rescued.
Through a grant from the U.S. Fire Administration and in partnership with Fire Protection Publications and Oklahoma State University, SEEDS has created a fire safety curriculum designed to meet the learning needs of people with developmental disabilities.

*Tod Deobler, Captain of the Fire Prevention Bureau says that this is, "great material."
